How to Eject Linux Mint Live CD from a MacBook Laptop
I started using a Linux Mint live CD recently on a MacBook Pro laptop. It's well-known that MacBook laptops are far from being user-firendly when it comes to removing a live Linux CD/DVD from them. I happen to have converted this machine to
host only Windows XP and Ubuntu 12.04.
When I try to eject the Linux Mint live CD, neither the umount nor the eject command works. As I type either command, Linux Mint tells me that the disk is busy. If the machine were a non-Apple one, it would be a cinch to eject the disk with just a paper clip in any case. But Apple must have its elegant way. I am using this computer only because it was given to me free as a surplus machine by a relative. I myself would never purchase an Apple computer no matter how sophisticated it may be. Practicality and not elegance is what I care for in life.
I would appreciate leaning how to resolve this particular Linux Mint live CD ejection problem. Thanks.
