gnome-power-manager command missing from Ubuntu 11

Asked by Tong Sun

Hi,

There use to be a gnome-power-manager command that I could use in my fluxbox so as to have the power management for my laptop. I.e., closing the lid will make it goes to sleep.

But now it is gone. How can I get power management for my fluxbox WM?

Thanks

Answering my own question:

It's removed as of ver 3.2.1-1:

http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/g/gnome-power-manager/current/changelog

     - Stop installing the g-p-m autostart xdg file, the daemon parts have been
       replaced by gnome-settings-daemon

Oddly, closing the lid wasn't able to make my laptop go to sleep just now, even after I've restarted X. But now problem is gone. Because I've triggered it via the Fn hot key to kick start it?
