GOA freezing when trying to login via Google or MS365

Asked by Scott L

Hi there, I am trying to log into my Google account and MS365 account (using default settings, no custom client ID) on a clean install of Ubuntu 24.04. For whatever reason, once I accept the OAuth request on either site and allow Firefox to send the redirect links back to GOA, GCC freezes and starts popping up with the 'not responding' prompt every second or so if I press wait. It does not eventually correct itself. Obviously, the intended result is that GOA adds my accounts. Intriguingly, it works with Microsoft Personal (no issues there). Does this sound like a me problem, or a possible bug? If so, what steps should I take to get the information required for a bug report?

Thanks

Update: Google has finally managed to log in (have been trying off and on both yesterday and today). Unsure of how it differed this time compared to the previous attempts (it did start off not responding and clearly worked whilst I was typing the question above). Perhaps this is just a waiting game, but if anyone has any suggestions as to whether it could be something more than that, do let me know.

Can you help with this problem?
