What has happened to the missing settings in Oneiric's system-settings?

Asked by Rocko

Oneiric's system settings (ie gnome-control-center, as run from the Unity top bar) are missing a number of important settings programs, eg there is no icon for changing the screensaver/lock screen settings, and the keyboard preferences program is missing the keyboard layouts. (Curiously, my current version does have two icons for Ubuntu One, though.)

Is this a bug or is it intentional? Is there a plan to add the missing settings before final release?

Log a bug.Oneiric is not ready and not complete so you WILL find things missing. It's still in alpha, what did you expect.

Actually, Oneiric is in feature freeze and beta freeze as of 25 August (https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel-announce/2011-August/000891.html), and the beta is due in a couple of days. So there shouldn't be blatantly obvious things missing at this point.

Can you help with this problem?
