ubuntu log out automatically

I installed ubuntu11.10 on my laptop,but now it often log out automatically without any prediction. So annoying.
I've already googled this problem but still couldn't solve it.
Could anyone help me out?

I am also facing this same problem after upgrading to 11.10.
It logs me off automatically and closes all the open applications. Found following question related and tried steps mentioned but still no luck.

Please suggest what could be wrong in this new setup.

I am using gnome-shell with some extensions/tweaks.

Hi Mapan,

Are you using xscreensaver in place of gnome-screensaver?

I was using it and had this same problem earlier. Today I just thought to give it a try and removed xscreensaver and installed back gnome-screensaver.

Logged out and logged in and as of this writing my system is stable from the last 7 hours.

Give it a try.
