Failed Boot, needs repair/recovery
First off, I feel I must explain my level of knowledge of Linux, coding and all of that. I barely have any so any answers are going to have to be dumbed down quite a bit, I started using Ubuntu because I was fed up with Windows and it was working great until suddenly, after logging into Windows again to change some battery settings, it failed to boot into Ubuntu. I could get to the screen that's purple (by the way, I'm running 11.04) and no matter if I choose the regular boot or recovery boot, it eventually turns into a screen with a bunch of lines of code. I've had to re-install before and I wanted to see if it was possible to repair this instead since I'd made several modifications since I last did that. So in summary:
New user (little knowledge)
Running Ubuntu 11.04
After logging into Windows, fails to boot
Screen with lots of letters and numbers
Thanks for your help.
