11.10 upgrade: FF Flash player plug-in failure

Asked by Alan Haynes

I did the 11.04 to 11.10 upgrade. All went well (as far as I can tell) except for the Flash Player plug-in...got a message during the packet installs that the plug-in package could not install. After the restart, checking the Flash Player in Firefox, confirmed that it is not present. Suggestions on how to fix this plug-in problem would be appreciated. TIA :-)

The XP does nothing to aid the question.

Can you give the output of:

dpkg -l | egrep 'flash|gnash|swf'; uname -a; lsb_release -a

Thanks

I found the plug-in in software center and reloaded. Problem solved.

Sorry I didn't get the output you requested before I did the fix.
