Is firefox abandoning apt?

I wonder will firefox continue updating itself with apt ? Or would firefox give up apt and get itself into snap?

In Ubuntu 22.04 (jammy) firefox will probably be delivered in snap format (currently in jammy-proposed).
snap packages are updated by processes around snap and no more by apt, but there is also an automatic upgrade for snap packages.
