Flash will not work on Firefox - 64bit

Asked by beadmaster

On a fresh install of Ubuntu 64bit, i installed the Shockwave Flash plugin for Firefox and it recognises it when seen in about:plugins but it still says not installed when viewing any flash page?

any ideas?

cheers,
Tom

I used the installer in Firefox that pops up when you first visit a flash site. You can also install it via the add/remove tool (app menu). Did you install it using either of these options? If not, how did you install? You might try removing it and installing again with one of those methods. That is how installed and I've never had issues with flash on 64 bit except for the occasional site that doesn't work right.
