Firefox 3.0.5 does not save font preferences

Asked by malte

Running Ubuntu 8.10 and Firefox 3.0.5 for Ubuntu I am really getting fed up with having to go to Edit->Preferences->Content->Advanced and setting minimum font size to 15 and de-selecting the Allow pages to choose... checkbox.

Why can't Firefox just remember my settings? Next time I start Firefox I have to do it all over. This does not happen with stock Firefox on Windows. I have not had the energy, yet, to dump the Ubuntu version and try and see if the official Mozilla Firefox exhibits the same behavior.

Didn't help. I am sure there is a solution somewhere, but I am slowly tiring of Ubuntu Firefox/Java issues.

So sorry, but I am going to have a go at the latest OpenSUSE.
