gnash flash player fails on Pandora

Asked by Doug Sundquist

I went to Pandora and needed to install a flash player. I chose the gnash player and it installed correctly but Pandora will not completely load. I decided to unistall it and try another and looked for "Help: About plugins" but there is no such choice in Firefox 3. I instead disabled gnash shockwave flash through tools: add-ons hoping that would force a new download choice when I select Pandora but that did nothing except leave the flash content out of the Pandora page. I then downloaded and installed Apple's shockwave flash player but with gnash flash player installed and disabled Pandora is no different. I think I need to uninstall gnash flash player plug in. Instructions I've found indicate delete it through "Help: About plug-ins", but as I mentioned there is no such choice.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Doug

I figured out how to uninstall it (gnash flash player) with package manager and now Pandora works fine (there is something wrong in that plug in). FYI - I'm a newbie to Linux and Ubuntu hence some of my difficulty with what might normally be obvious.
