I CANNOT CONNECT MY PRINTER TO THE NOTEBOOK,I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT/INSTALL CORRECTLY

Have you added the printer through Ubuntu? System -> Administration -> Printing -> New Printer -> New Printer

What make and model of printer is it? Some work under Linux - some don't.

With the printer plugged in and turned on, can you type lsusb in a terminal and copy the output here?

What is the make and model of the printer. This is probably the most important piece of information and you have completely omitted it.
