FileZilla: can i get FileZilla 3.4.0 ?

It is pretty easy to download outdated software when updates are not supported...But... Can you please tell us how we can get FileZilla 3.4.0...?

I downloaded Filezilla 3.4.0 from the suggested ppa:yofel/ppa.
It works fine but it states that it is a nightly development version which may not work.
Is this the version I want...?

You have to understand how packaging and personal package archives (ppas) work:

If there is a program developed somewhere, it will usually be delivered in uncompiled (source) form. To make it run on your system you can now download it to your machine, compile it, and install the executable files on your machine; this in most cases requires some programming knowledge.

To make the installation process easier, Ubuntu works with .deb (=debian package) files, which contain the executable program together with the instructions for automatic installation by the package management programs.

There are now two sources for these .deb package files: the official repositories and personal package archives.
The official repositories contain well tested versions, but due to the duration of the testing process in most cases are some versions behind (for filezilla it is version 3.3.5).
Some Ubuntu enthusiasts run ahead and try to deliver .deb packages for the most up-to-date versions by creating these .deb packages in their personal package archives. These versions usually work well, but there is absolute no guarantee provided. See the comment "nightly development version...".

If Filezilla from the ppa works on your machine, and if 'help - about' shows the version to be 3.4.0, then everything should be ok.
