Problem with Video Calls between Empathy - MSN

Asked by André Filipe

I know this question has been made and answered soo many times... I've been in a profound search on all the answers and topics on the internet, and tried so many things... unfortunately none of them worked for me :/

Im using Ubuntu 11.10, and i'm having problems when trying to acept video calls from msn users... I have a Logitech QuickCam Chat, and i'm not abble to make video calls... When i receive them i have several errors...

Some days ago i was abble to see my webcam in the "gstream" options on the dashboard (wish gstream i dont even have now in the dashboard)...

I'm a recent a very initial user of Ubuntu, so my knowledge from this is not that much, so if you could help me i would appreciate it!

Feel free to ask for any information that may help you get to the problem (Please, specify which information you want and how to get it please)

Thank you, and please help me (not by sending me to a post that i«ve already seen 10000x :/ )

Thanks ;)

see this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/telepathy-butterfly/+bug/657453
the bug is too much old there is a problem with butterfly now the developers has shifted it to the haze's and now it works like a pidgin (libpurple ) etc.. this will be in 3.3.90 released in 12.04 version..

So, for now, Ubuntu 11.10, there is no way to fix it?

i dont think so because upstreamer will not deal with these bugs for now. kenvandine may be make some changes and fix them but may be not not sure.
