Clock setting in Empathy?

Asked by NLin TKO

I am using Empathy in Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty). I notice that the time stamps at each message are using a 12-hour clock (e.g. 10:24 AM or 10:24 PM). Is it possible to change this setting to a 24-hour clock (e.g. 10:24, 22:24)?

This might work. Use System Settings -> System -> Language Support -> Regional Formats to set the date and time formats for your locale, logout, and login again.

Thank you, this indeed worked.
However, I think that it is not very logical. The horizontal bar at the top of the screen also has date and time. This clock I had already set to 24-hour clock. But that setting was not used by Empathy. It is confusing that there are several different locations for the same setting.
