devscripts package

Why postfix dependency?

Why "devscripts" needs a whole Mail server as a dependency? Shouldn't it be a just lightweight package that includes tools that automate repetitive typing? Why would anyone need a mailserver for building a package?

Not really sure why that dependency exists, but while installing it you
can just choose no configuration and that makes it good as nothing :)

Even though I doesn't answer the original question I am still interested what should I mention to aptitude to install devscripts without mail server?

Here's an easy to avoid postfix, when you get to its configuration
part, then just choose no configuration :D
