According to Ubuntu 9.04 rel notes, Brasero is new

As far as I can tell, it was installed by default already in 8.10. What's the explanation for the release notes introducing Brasero as a new component? Is the news really that the "CD/DVD Creator" in Nautilus has been replaced with Brasero (just speculating here) or why is it there?

If this is genuinely a bug, where should I report it?

It's not a bug, it's just stating the newest release of Brasero is included. It should've been more specific in the language. I will forward this on to the Marketing team.

And, by the way, since Alpha 3 (I believe it was) Brasero was made the default burn CD/DVD in Nautilus.

I really think the message is indeed meant to state this as well as the improvements, which is quite an improvement.
