Is your Server have a fixed IP from your service provider? If not, you can register to some dynamic DNS service.
You need to do nothing with the dns in your server to make it visible to Internet, you need to do a lot on other areas (depending on what services do you want to offer) but not for the Internet visibility.
The registration of a domain (this makes your service visible as myserver.com) take a couple of days.
The dns service (the one you signed up with namecheap) is a necessary service to be visible because this service makes the relation between your domain name (myserver.com) with the IP address that your server have.
These data must be replicated on as many dns servers on the Internet, dns replication takes from some hours to a couple of days to be replicated.
Your server is going to be visible if the IP registered at the dns service is the IP that your server have at any time.
Hope this helps, let me know.

Hi paccco,
When you did it, right now? If yes, you must wait a couple of hours to be effective (the replication delay) and if you are at another country than me, even a day or two to be visible all over the Internet.
You must configure your server to have a "public and static (or fixed) IP address" and this kind of address are giving only by your ISP, your local network can still using automatic (or dynamic) and private IP address, if your server is connected through a firewall/router shared with your internal network, you must put the server at the DMZ to be outside the firewall/router and be visible.
Actually, are you using 192.168.254.4 as your server's Internet address?
Hope this helps, let me know.

pacco, this is a bad setting, it will never be accessible to anybody unless you change your server's IP for a public and fixed IP.
Please read the following article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_network
