I have a hand-me-down laptop with Ubuntu 15.10 installed. I would like to upgrade, but I am brand new to Ubuntu and have no Linux background. The first time I ran the upgrade I had the 'apt not installed' problem. In attempting to resolve it I have done some copy/pastes from threads. The About menu no longer prompts me to upgrade - it says that the Ubuntu 15.10 is up-to-date.
