It looks like amarok2 might have lost some of the functionality making it easy to delete files:

Here are some notes from one of the amarok devs:

"In Amarok 2.1, we have a "Delete Tracks" in the collection context menu."

However, 2.1 was in beta in April, so I'm not sure when v2.1 will make it into Ubuntu... :-)
