Amarok UPnP missing in trusty

Asked by Chris

I can't seem to access UPnP servers from within Amarok.

The "amarok" package in precise has a file:

  /usr/lib/kde4/amarok_collection-upnpcollection.so

In trusty this file is not in the package.

I think this causes the following error when I run "amarok --debug":

[PluginManager] found plugin: "amarok_collection-upnpcollection" enabled: true
[WARNING] [PluginManager] "Failed to get factory 'amarok_collection-upnpcollection' from KPluginLoader: Could not find plugin 'UPnP Collection' for application 'amarok'"

Is the file missing on purpose? Is there some other way I should be accessing UPnP servers from within Amarok?

The UPnP kio slave is not shipped because it is unmaintained, and there is no known replacement currently.

Can you help with this problem?
