Sound is gone.

I upgraded to 8.04 and all was well. Then I added internet connection and downloaded and installed the updates and my sound vanished. I tried fiddling with sound options and such but to no avail.

I am one step away from reloading 8.04 and starting over.

This is the same problem I had in 7.10. Sound started good but fizzled away as I added upgrades.

Any ideas?

3 weeks ago i had sound on pogo game of bingo now there is no sound on pogo or no sound when my avast up dates it self i use to hear the up dat but not any more .how can i fix it.
