acroread bug reporting

Asked by kapetr

I have problem with Adobe Reader in Ubuntu 10.10.

There was bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/701505
but it is converted to Q and closed.

I have try to report bug myself with:

ubuntu-bug acroread

but it fails with message: acroread is NOT original Ubuntu package ?!

But this package is from maverick/main repo.

I have try to mail the maintainer : <email address hidden>

but I just get SMTP server error report - unknown user.

So - HOW TO REPORT bug in acroread ?

Thanks all.

You need to report the acroread bug to Adobe because acroread is a closed proprietary software...

It's actually in the partner repo.

And how to find out, from which repo it is ?

In Synaptic acroread is showed in maverick/main (archive.canonical.com).

But true is, that if I remove "partners" from "other sw" in repos, then acroread moves to "local" in Synaptic.
It is quite confusing.

I had expect, that if canonical packs it, it could to check//confirm and then forward reported errors too.

I don't believe ADOBE will receive bug report form normal user like me.

apt-cache policy acroread

Will say where it's from
