kworker/n:m is what?
Asked by
John Winterton
I've noticed in the output from ps -e a lot of these processes, but there doesn't seem to be any local documentation for them. Can I have a reference, please?
Examples:
2829 ? 00:00:08 kworker/0:1
2952 ? 00:00:08 kworker/1:0
2962 ? 00:00:00 kworker/0:0
Part of the output from my ps -e command. These processes do not show in System Monitor? They seem to be children of some other process. Perhaps some explanation of the process tree would help.
