Hi,

Last week, I created a new Ubuntu translate team for Afar language. I sent an email to coordinators to approve and appoint my new team. Today, I got a email telling me: "send your translations mailing list request to <email address hidden>" from Jorge O. Castro.

If it's the best place for approval and for appointing new team, I would like that the new Ubuntu translate Team for Afar language be appointed.

Team name : Ubuntu Afar Translators
Language : Afar
Launchpad.net: ~ubuntu-l10n-aa

Thank you for your help.

Thank you Adi.

I still have a question.

Why has the application for Ubuntu Afar translators team's mailing list been declined?

I would like that " https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Ubuntu-Afar " web page be approved as the Translation Guidelines for
Ubuntu Afar translators.

Regard

I realy don't know why your ML request was declined. Can you give us more details about this issue ?

Here is how you can define the Guidelines for your team ... we don't need to approve your guidelines. Any admin for ubuntu-l10n-aa can define it:
https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/Guidelines

Also here you can find some info that could help you in creating your guidelines:
https://help.launchpad.net/Translations/Guide

When I wanted to create a mailing list from Ubuntu Afar translators page, I got: " The application for this team's mailing list has been declined. Please contact a Launchpad administrator for further assistance".

I don't know if there is another way to create the team's mailing list. if yes, I would like to know it.

Thanks

For Ubuntu translation team, your mailing list should not host on launchpad but on lists.ubuntu.com. What you need to do is to send a mail to <email address hidden> for requesting a mailing list with domain @lists.ubuntu.com. Or you may find more assistance asking on ubuntu-translators mailing list.

Hi Charif,

Did that solve your question? If so, could you mark it as Solved by going to https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+question/82663?

Thanks!
