i seem to have a bug in the system, everytime i write in a password,

Asked by sandra mclean

every time i try to sign in to the internet, i have to constantly open my network folder
and re-enter the password, as it constantly jumps back to an unrecognisable password,
this has also just affected me creating an e-mail account as i entered my chosen password,
and it immediately jumped into the same one as has started appearing on the network system

could anyone guide through how to rid the system of this glitch please?
thanks
sandra

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

In which package are you experiencing this error?

i'm not totally sure, it's the admin -> network settings file and most recently an internet website i think
yahoo, when i tried to create a new e-mail account which asked for a password, and i filled it in with the one i'd chosen and it was immediately overwritten with the same one that keeps glitching the network setting file, so it's an odd one to pin down!
thanks
