DejaDup fails to restore after fresh Ubuntu install

Hi

I backed up all my files using Backups (DejaDup) last week, then did a fresh install of Ubuntu 24.04.

I've installed DejaDup and Duplicity (and dependencies). I've checked that I have read and write permission for the backup files. I've set the backup location as a local folder and specified the folder (I've also tried setting the backup location as the specific external HDD).

But when I click Restore from previous backup, Backups just searches and searches interminably.

I don't get any error messages. I've searched and searched and it looks like this problem was supposed to have been solved in 2019...
