when I send an email the time is approximately 5 hours off. The clock on the computer which shows the time is correct, but when I send an email in the AM, it shows PM hours

Asked by carolyn crownover

when I send an email and the time sent is different from the actual time. For example, i sent an email at 7:00 A.M. this morning, but the time reflects that is was3:50 P.m. how can this be when the clock on the desktop reflects the correct time. This problem has been going on for over 2 months.

Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

I would suggest checking your yahoo profile to make sure that your time zone is set properly. Yahoo has been making a lot of changes lately and missing data in your profile might cause the time to be off.

Can you help with this problem?
