sound problem in ubuntu 9.04

Recently updated from ubuntu 8.04 to 9.04. Initially no issues with sound but suddenly no sound is being played while logging in or in rythm player.

for the sound problem, open terminal and type - alsamixer -c0 , select pcm and unmute.

Hi,

URL problem resolved.

For the sound problem, open the terminal, type - alsamixer -c0, then
select PCM and unmute.
