Not available to second user

When second user logs on without logging of first user (i.e. switching user), there is no network connection (i.e. not retained from the first user for this second user nor making another network connection) and Network Manager applet is not shown on top panel.

Make you sure that second user has privilegies to connect to networks.

(System → Administration → Users and Groups → Properties (select the "problematic" user) → User Privilegies)

I didn't realise that following the upgrade from Hardy to Intrepid, the second user had to be given Network privileges.
