no sound

ultimate edition 2.0 32bit / medion akoya notebook, 1.9 dual amd turion 64 chip, 1.7 g ddr2 ram, no sound at all, please help its bin about10hrs now,lol......

ps its on a dual boot and the vista 32 bit works fine (surprisingly, lol)

I request you to please use the standard version of Ubuntu , and see if you are facing the same problem
