removing application programs

Open a Terminal from the menu Applications → Accessories → Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get remove picasa

that was exactly what I was looking for!...............question: why didn't
the -r or the rm work, or did I not use it correctly?

oh,no. I seen your last email and seen that early morning etiquette(manners)
sometimes leaves me flummoxed. I should know better and just didn't think to
