open DVD in desktop

There is no button in the desktop to open the DVD. 16.04 system in hp pavilion. Can that button be inserted?

yes. I guess you can normally only open by pushing the drive. Sometime that doesnt work. is it possible to keep the DVD button in tne starter?

Are you saying the dvd drive gets stuck sometimes?

Then it would seem like hardware related issue
