dim screen

Asked by ndel

How can I change the brightness of my screen? I watched a movie when on battery and now that I am back on AC, my screen is much darker than before. I don't know where the control is for that or how to fix it. I have an HP Pavillion dv9000.

You should be able to increase the brightness using the battery preferences application. Generally when you go on to battery power, an icon will appear in your panel. Try looking around at that applet.

I am back on AC power and it still is dim. I tried to look around for any preference changes but couldn't find any.
