Problem in hibernate

 I am using Ubuntu latest 64-bit desktop edition on my laptop Dell Vostro 1500 and it doesn't hibernate, when I click on hibernate it started showing couple of commands and then hangs up at one command, can anyone help me.

Thanks for your question. As this is an acpi issue, I have converted this into a bug report. These issues are common, and will be fixed in future Ubuntu releases.

Varun, check out for the ACPI settings in your BIOS setup. Whether you have S1 or S3 turned on, try hibernating with another S1 and S3 alternatively.
