It is necessary for you to provide more information on the issue. What distribution and version of Ubuntu are you using? What is your wireless card? Please provide any information that you can.

Please post the output of:
lspci

Thanks

Open a terminal windows (Application > Accessories > Terminal)
type "lspci" (without quote) and press enter. (its will display information about your computer hardware)
Just copy the output here.

Can't help you without knowing what wireless card you're using.

03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Atheros AR8121/AR8113/AR8114 PCI-E Ethernet Controller (rev b0)

Additionally there is a red mark on the wifi symbol.

Please let me know how can I fix it? I use Ubuntu 10.04 and I did perform many updates of the drivers, packages and also got the latest updates from the global server nothing helped at all in terms to solve my problem and get the wifi working.

I hope that was enough information for that matter.

Can you help with this problem?
