Wenever I reopen my laptop, the dimness of the screen is less and I am unable to get it back to 100%.

Asked by Russell Harbach

I currently have "go to blank screen" in the preferences for when I close the lid to my laptop. My laptop has been coming to 100% brightness when I open the lid again. Now, my screen is dimmed, making it very hard to read when I open the lid. I have to reboot to get the 100% back or not close the lid. I have not made any changes to the power settings. What could I do to get the 100% back?

If I log out, and log in, the dimness of the screen is back to 100%.

You need to wait for somebody that can help you better to follow up on the bug report. The bug report means that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. Patience is needed however as there are a very large number of bugs that need to be looked at and a small number of people with the knowledge to handle them all.

Can you help with this problem?
