video driver/hibernation/diplay freezing problems

Asked by highd101

HI! I am having a terrible time after the latest update. My desktop/current window freezes with a pixel attached to the mouse. I can move the mouse but I can't click on anything. I tried to update my video card driver with Automatix2 and I receive the following:

Automatix is not a supported program, as far as I'm aware. Your best bet would be to either remove Automatix altogether or to try contacting the Automatix authors for support.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask highd101 for more information if necessary.
