the Slovenian QA team is inacitve for years

Asked by Arnold Marko

Hi,

I wonder if I could take over the Slovenian QA team, since it's literally doing nothing for years.

I am an experienced translator of software, mostly active on Transifex and Crowdin and I'd be willing to spend some time and energy to improve the Slovenian translation of Ubuntu.

This is me on Transifex:
As a Manager
Coordinating:
Slovenian language of the VLC - Trans team team
Slovenian language of the antix-development team team
Slovenian language of the Deepin Desktop Environment team
Slovenian language of the Deepin Software team
Slovenian language of the LMMS team team
Slovenian (Slovenia) language of the OctoPrint i18n team

Also actively translating: Scratch, Mixxx, Xfce, MATE Desktop Enviroment, QGIS, Arch Linux Pacman, Arduino IDE, LMMS, Handbrake, PLEX... and on Crowdin I am very active with GDevelop, OBS Studio, OpenHAB, FreeCAD anad many more.

So I think the project would be in good hands.

Have a nice time,
AM

Hi!

I see that you have applied for membership in ubuntu-l10n-sl. Have you also tried to contact either the team owner or administrator personally ant remind them of your application?

Hi,

yes, but no response... as you see, I'm not the only one not being confirmed.

Thanks for confirming that. I have asked for help with resolving this situation:

https://rt.ubuntu.com/Ticket/Display.html?id=78411

I'll get back to you once my rt.ubuntu.com ticket has been dealt with.

I just added you to the ~ubuntu-l10n-sl team and gave you admin privileges.

Can you please subscribe to this mailing list:

https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-translators

Important news about Ubuntu translations will be posted there, and it's always a good place to ask for guidance if needed.

With that I think this question is solved, and I wish you good luck with improving the Slovenian translations in Ubuntu.

Rgds,
Gunnar
