Start a new group to translate into Uzbek

Asked by Javlonbek Sharipov

Assalamu alaykum! I wanted to start a new group to translate Ubuntu OS into Uzbek. The reason is that the old group has not been active for a long time, and the translations are also mixed in the Latin and Cyrillic alphabets. I have the opportunity to be actively involved in restarting and completing translations and managing the group. For this reason, I ask you to make this new group (https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-uzbek) the main group for the Uzbek language. Or it would be nice if I had the opportunity to be an administrator for an existing group.

Hi!

I'll be happy to help you revive the efforts to translate Ubuntu into Uzbek. For consistency reasons I want to keep the existing team for the purpose.

As a first step, can you please apply to join <https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-l10n-uz>. If you wouldn't get a response in due time - say a week - then please report back here and I'll take the steps needed to make you a member and administrator of the team.

Hi!

Thanks for the reply. I sent a request to join the group. Coincidentally, I and another person who has been waiting to be accepted since 2018 have joined the group!
