how to remove a given PPA

Seems project PPA is sth different than Personal Package Archive. I've changed to launchpad as I couldn't find anything more specific.

Does it mean there's no easy way to do it myself and I have to ask the soyuz team each time?

Piotr, yes. In practice empty PPAs do not consume any resource.

Even if empty PPAs don't consume resources, having a bunch of stale ones creates a mess and makes managing them more mistake prone. I'll file a feature request issue for this.
