README.txt for schooltool-1.4.0

Asked by Mike Ziegner

I have tried to follow the README.txt of schooltool-1.4.0 for installing schooltool. But the file seems to be a bit outdated. Nevertheless I have found out that running python setup.py at first is a good idea. Because I didn't find neither test.py nor schooltool-server.py I have tried to copy them from another installation. Can you please give me some hints?

Thank you very much.

Thank you for your quick response. It worked for me by copying the
makefile from schooltool-1.3.1.

Mike

Older releases did not include Makefile. Now they do, so the instructions in README.txt can be followed. In short,

$ make ubuntu-environment
$ make
