How can I see all translations made by others exluding my own translations?

Asked by Alexander Belchenko

I want to review translations made by other people to bzr-explorer project to see if there is rough edges. How can I filter out translations made by me and see only others work?

If you navigate to https://translations.launchpad.net/bzr-explorer/trunk/+pots/explorer/ru/+details, you will see a "Contributors to this translation" section on the bottom right hand side of the page.

Next to each contributor you will see a "(filter)" link, which provides you what you are asking for: seeing the translations per contributor.

In general, though, if you are concerned with the quality rather than the quantity of translations, you should consider not using Open permissions, but rather Structured or Restricted, assigned to a trusted translations group (e.g. launchpad-translators). For more information see:

Hmm, it seems what I need. But it seems limited to one person only? Can I filter by several people at once?

No, that is not possible at the moment. Also, you might have noticed that in the view you are getting with the filter you cannot change the translations made by others. This is because this is not the way translations reviews are done in Launchpad.

Really, the right way to go here is to do what David suggested: Use "structured" permissions with a translation group. You can either ask for your own group (might make sense to start a general "Bazaar Translators" group) or use Launchpad Translators which might be even better because you immediately have more people as competent as you reviewing translations.

More details on the help page that David pointed to. But feel free to ask further questions.

Right now I'm not sure this is what I'm seeking for. I don't understand how translators team work. Can I create dedicated team for one language? Or dedicated team shared across all languages? Anyway, you may say I need to read the link first, so I'll do.
Right now we discussing about translations of bzr project in bzr ML. You may want to share your experience too.

Thanks for the hint about the ML. I did post a message but it is being held for moderation. Maybe you can trigger that.
