We are doing our very first bit if it this cycle. Actually, jtv is.

I am sorry, I cannot give you an estimate when how much will be available through the API but you will see more in the coming cycles.

The opening of Launchpad won't affect how Canonical schedules this API work, but of course once it's open, community members will be able to contribute to the API.
