Hello,

A user cannot change his own password, unless he has permission to edit
users. If a user wants his/her password changed, they will need to
contact the administrator (or someone who CAN edit users).

Hi:

The passwd command changes passwords for user accounts. A normal user may only change the password for his/her own account,

type: man passwd

of course you can change YOUR own password, no need to bother a superuser with that.

Hello,

Rodrigo, I think you are confused as to what CMS/system we're talking about. Phpns (http://phpns.alecwh.com/) is the project in question, and there is no "shell" or "terminal" therein. The "man" is a command used to get info on commands for Unix/Linux.

I think you are confused with GNU/Linux system administration.
