terminal fail

when I tried to launch this directory ($ /home/max/blender25/blender) it says: command not found.

What should I do?

Be sure you have followed the instructions in the following FAQ. Also, I would just make sure that the path you are using actually exists on your file system, and that you can Launch Blender by double clicking on the executable called "blender" in that folder. Good luck.

When I follow the terminal test as directed in the FAQ, this is the response...

$ /home/spam/Blender25/blender
bash: /home/spam/Blender25/blender: cannot execute binary file

When I also read this comment to double click on "blender" in that folder, nothing happened...

Any suggestions would be nice... =)

My bad, I downloaded the 64bit when my OS is a 32bit...sad...but problem solved.
