You can install NSsbackup in two ways:

1. using the Personal Package Archive (PPA) of the NSsbackup team:
Follow the instructions from https://launchpad.net/~nssbackup-team/+archive/ppa. Add the repository to your software sources as described there. Then you can install NSsbackup very easy using the Synaptic package manager. Furthermore, if you choose this method, NSsbackup is automatically updated as you are used to when new versions are available. This is recommended for most users.

2. from source:
Download the source from https://launchpad.net/nssbackup/+download and follow the instructions in the README and INSTALL files. This method is only recommended for experienced users.
