Ubuntu Netbook Remix

minimal install or netbook remix base?

There any sort of BASE or MINIMAL install for UNR 9.04 just has way to much EXTRAS I myself dont need 8.04/8.10 releases we're great since didn't have all this extra stuff (yes if needed one I could install it, extras im refering to openoffice, cheese, bunch of video drivers i'll never have or need, etc..)

Is there any ubuntu networks remix with occupies less than 4 GB. I have aspire one with 6 GB and i don't want to spend half ssd with base system. Can we reduce the size of UNR? For example to 1 GB. Is there any tutorial for doing myself?

A default install normally takes around 2.5GB. That should fit your needs.

What minimal install really provides? What programs minimal install installs? Maybe it fits the needs of binjinx.
