9.10 netbook cant connect to ethernet

Asked by Bill M

I have a HP 1030nr running a fresh install of 9.10 unr, I can't connect to the internet at all, wired or wireless. Basically, it is acting like it doesn't have the drivers for either device. I have found posts about how to fix the wireless, but they all say to connect through the ethernet and let the update manager take care of it, but since I can't use the ethernet connection, I am kind of stuck. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I managed to get this fixed, I downloaded a new copy of the .iso file and re installed it. When I had another fresh install, the ethernet connection worked and I was able to get the third party driver I needed for the wireless card.
