medibuntu repo, errors

When i tried to install medibuntu repo in ubuntu, from software sources, in third party software, i typed in the long command line
for installing medibuntu packages, and then clicked add source, thats it an error message turned up with saying

An unresolvable problem occurred while initialising the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type ‘--16:53:40--’ is not known on line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list, E:The list of sources could not be read.'

could any one pls help me out,
Am desperate, i couldnt even access synaptic manager, update manager, when i tried to access them, the same error is poppin up

Hello,
Your /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list is corrupted, please remove it and retry, following the instructions that you can find at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

thnx for ur concern, The link which u gave havent got any kind of information regarding removing medibuntu,
see how can i do that, when i tried to access synaptic packet manager, update manager, my access i denied, showing above error message,

Here is a way to switch to the new medibuntu repository location:
sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/gutsy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
Then you should be able to use again update-manager and synaptic.

 i have the same problem... this is what i get on the terminal...

neo@merlyn:~$ sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list
[sudo] password for neo:
neo@merlyn:~$ sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/gutsy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

Resolving www.medibuntu.org... failed: Name or service not known.

This is not the same error at all.

You encounter some dns problems ... Can you go at http://www.medibuntu.org with your brother ?
Here it works. So I think you may have to check your dns
